Description
Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a kitchen with dishwasher, dining area and a corner with a desk for anyone who needs to work a few hours. The air conditioning covers the living area and bedrooms, and the building has a lift — useful with luggage or if someone finds stairs difficult. There’s a washing machine and tumble dryer, iron, coffee machine and blackout curtains in the bedrooms. Linen and towels are included and the bed is made on arrival.
The neighbourhood
Via Cairoli is in the heart of the historic centre: the Broletto, the Duomo and the arcades of corso Cavour are two or three minutes’ walk, the Cupola di San Gaudenzio a little further. The station is nine minutes on foot, so you can come by train from Milan or Turin and forget the car. If you do bring a car, note this part of the centre is a restricted-traffic zone: the parking at piazza Santa Caterina is just over two hundred metres away, and it’s worth messaging them before arrival to be told the correct entrance.
Getting there
Novara station is nine minutes on foot, slightly downhill towards the centre. By car leave the A4 at Novara Est and you’ll arrive in about ten minutes, but the final stretch is in a ZTL: it’s better to head straight for the parking at piazza Santa Caterina. From Malpensa it’s about forty minutes by car; by train you change at Gallarate or Milan.
